Malte Brosig is a professor in international relations at the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa, and an associate fellow of the German Institute for Global and Area Studies (GIGA) in Hamburg. His research interests focus on inter-institutional relations in Africa and Europe in the security sector. He is the author of The Role of BRICS in Large-Scale Armed Conflict: Building a Multipolar World Order (2019) and Africa in a Changing Global Order: Marginal But Meaningful? (2021), both published by Palgrave.
