About the Speaker
Tereza Capelos is an associate professor in political psychology and director of the Institute for Conflict Cooperation and Security at the Department of Political Science and International Studies at the University of Birmingham. She is past president of the International Society of Political Psychology, co-convener for the Political Psychology Standing Group of the European Consortium for Political Research, and co-editor of the Palgrave Series in Political Psychology. Her research examines reactionary orientations and ressentimentful affect as psychological expressions of grievance politics, and the role of uncertainty and affective ambivalence in establishing trust during national and international crises and tensions.
