Editorial Board Members

Dr. Jessica Larsen is a senior researcher at the Danish Institute for International Studies (DIIS) in Copenhagen. Her expertise includes maritime security, stabilisation, and the practice of international law in security operations. She examines Danish and European policy and strategy, engaging in both conceptual development and policy-relevant analysis.

Methodologically, Larsen’s work is based on ethnography. She regularly conducts field trips, especially to East and West Africa, where she has lived and travelled since 2009. Larsen carries out commissioned work for the Danish Ministry of Defence and Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the EU, and UN agencies.
