Ina Lehmann is assistant professor of governance of global biodiversity in the Department of Environmental Policy Analysis at the Institute for Environmental Studies (IVM), Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.

She analyses the governance of conservation and sustainable use of biodiversity from local to global levels, as well as the various linkages between biodiversity and development policies. More specifically, Ina holds a PhD in political science from the University of Bremen, Germany, based on a doctoral dissertation on environmental justice in the Convention on Biological Diversity. Her current research interests include the mainstreaming of biodiversity considerations into the production sectors of agriculture, fisheries, and aquaculture.
